Unless you’re a bookkeeper or accountant, I’m pretty sure you didn’t go into business for yourself because you like to do paperwork. Unfortunately, these days you can’t have a successful business without it.

Please note, I am not an accountant, and I don’t do taxes myself (not even my own!). However, I will help prepare your books so they are ready to take to the accountant at tax time or when your year-end statements need to be prepared. With your permission, I can work with your accountant to ensure that the bookkeeping is complete, saving the accountant time, and saving you money!
As a small business owner, you don’t have time to be out of the office dealing with paperwork, you need to be able to dedicate your time to running the show. So, on whatever schedule we set up, I will come to you. No worries about paperwork being lost or forgotten in transit.

I recognize that every business is unique, and that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. In my twenty-five years of experience, past clients have had a variety of requirements, from doing all of the bookkeeping and payroll on a weekly basis, to just having the bank reconciliations and HST calculations done quarterly, to coming in at tax time with a big bag of paperwork and needing to go through the whole works once a year! That last one isn’t recommended, by the way, it’s too stressful for everyone if something is missing.
Whatever is going to fit best into your budget and schedule while helping you keep financial track of your business is our final goal.
